Well so our challenge this week is entitled Thrown a curve. now you can use that as a title or you can use anything that curves eg arches arcs, circles ovals waves, well even let you use squiggles
We have an amazingly generous sponsor this week who not only has given us not 1 but 2 prizes but has also given you the opportunity to download three of her wonderful papers, which you can if you choose use in your entries or just use them when you want.
So who is our sponsor this week Pink Petticoat. Who specialise in trendy and easy to use cds and downloads. What surprised us is what a joy they are to play with and we all have been carried away and even though our examples are finished , We are still playing. I am myself creating some wound paper beads for a charm braclet and am also printing onto fabric to make a bag.
Pink Petticoat also has its own blog http://pinkpetticoat.blogspot.com full of great inspiration from the Pink Petticoat Desgn team and customers cards.
A few words from Liz
Hi everyone. My name’s Liz and I have the fantastic job of managing Pink Petticoat. I’m one of those creative types who’s had a go at most things crafty throughout her life, a bit of knitting, dressmaking, making soft furnishings etc etc, who discovered that Card Making & Papercrafting could be a major obsession quite by accident. And now I’m hooked. I think you all know what I mean!
At Pink Petticoat, I design craft supplies you can print yourself at home to use in your Crafting wether that be Cardmaking Atcs or Altered art. It’s fabulous to do and I absolutely LOVE what I do. I hope they’re as fabulous to create with too : ) I try to keep everything trendy and fun – if you like to make a card that will make someone smile, then Pink Petticoat may have something to offer you.
I’m thrilled to be able to sponsor your challenge this week & I hope you enjoy using your free download. From what I’ve seen so far, most of you have VERY different design styles than my own or most of Pink Petticoat’s customers. And I can’t wait to see what ya’ll come up with. Speak to you soon : )
So this week there will be two random numbers and each lucky winner will recieve one of these brilliant paper collection cds. Don’t you just adore the tins

Plus Liz has given us access to three paper downloads for you, You can download any or all of the papers to play with

You can download them for free at http://www.pinkpetticoat.co.uk/this_is_thursday.php .
So here are our examples for this weeks challenge

a few words from Kris
Hello. I’d like to thank the ladies at This Thursday Challenge for asking me to host this week. I had a wonderful time playing with the lovely papers from Pink Petticoat, our sponsor this week. Their papers are very whimsical and I wanted to keep that but add a vintage flair to my samples this week. Hope you enjoy them.

Great cards and theme – many thanks to PP for the fab downloads. There’s a card from me: http://craftyhazelnut.blogspot.com/2008/10/ive-done-card-for-another-challenge.html
This is the first time I’ve tried a cardmaking challenge and I really enjoyed it! I used the free papers to make a Christmas card – you can see it on my blog http://www.madebyalison.blogspot.com
HUGE thanks to everyone who joined in with the challenge. It was lovely to see so many of you creating with the free papers. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed having a look at everything you’ve all designed and having a browse around your blogs at everything else too – there are a few more blogs in my favourites list now : ) I was surprised at how many of you I already know : )
Special thanks of course to the Design Team who all worked SO hard to create their gorgeous designs to inspire us. They are very creative girls.
And thank you too to everyone who took the time to leave a comment on my own card. This is Thursday has a style which is very different from the style I tend to feel comfortable with. So it was quite a challenge for me to create something different – I’m still working on it : )
Congratulations of course to the winners. Your prizes will be on their way to both of you just as soon as I have your addresses. And I hope you enjoy them : )
I’m so sorry if you were caught up with the Halloween gremlins that managed to find us this week. And I do hope that all of you who wanted the free downloads, did manage, eventually, to download them.
And if I can finally add, it’s been an absolute pleasure for me to meet all of you. We’ll have to do it again sometime : )
Very Best Wishes
Liz at Pink Petticoat
