Your misson this week , if you should decide to take it,

is Mojo surfing

You can either Click on any random  5  of our participants blogroll links and take inspiration from something on each of those blogs or something on one of them . Please mention in your post where inspiration came from .  But not including themes from other challenges (Too easy) You can use the theme with other challenge sites challenges but not as the actual inspiration.  or

Click on any 1 of our participants blogroll links and then follow 1 link on there and so on until you reach  5 links and then take your inspiration from there.  Again it would be nice if you could list your inspiration on your post.

We thought that it would be a great way for you to get to know each other and a way you could find regular inspiration if your mojo has a day off.

Our sponsor this week is Tanda Stamps who have provded  this brilliant prize in time for Christmas Crafting

this wonderful set of clear “Dot and Stripe Christmas” stamps you can see them HERE

a few words from Tanda Stamps

TandaStamps was started in 2005, manufacturing high quality natural red rubber stamps as well as clear polymer stamps for the craft market. Based in sunny Dorset on the South West coast of England, we as a small company try to take extra care in  the quality of the products we produce and our customer service.

Currently we have over 200 rubber and clear polymer stamp sets as well as over 1000 individual designs which are available on a choice of backings.  If we don’t have the particular stamp design you are after, we can make it for you.  Or you can make your own stamps using the Imagepac Stamp !t stamp making kits we stock.
So here are the design teams examples for this week . To find out about our Mojo surfing  see our blogs.

We would also like to thank our brilliant guest designer   Sally West. Who has really pushed the boat out for us. She has made the most wonderful book of which you can only see the smallest sample of in our slide . You really should drop into her blog . to see the rest of this beautiful peice of work. You can see it on her blog at
A few words from Sally

I have been creating for as long as I can remember; art is all around and I take my inspiration from it. Art is about having fun; experimenting, not being afraid to take risks and watching those happy accidents take form. I love all forms of art including photography, drawing, scrapbooking, altered art, ATC’s, and textiles to name a few. I am a teacher of Art and Design and love my job, how many people get paid to do the thing they love? A friend introduced me to the world of scrapbooking just over a year ago, and since then I have been inspired by so much, especially branching out into the world of altered art and distressing.

It is my aim to impart my passion onto others and inspire creativity in all around me. To give others a glimpse of the creative slant I see the world through. I look at a rusty boat and do not see a heap of junk but a myriad of textures, colours and shapes from which so much can be taken and turned into art. There is no right or wrong in art and everyone is able to create something.

I am currently on the Design Team for Scrapbook Sisters and have had a great year producing work for them around altered art. It was an honour to be invited to be a guest designer on This Thursday and be able to share with you my creations.

For this challenge I was asked to surf for inspiration and at the end of my search landed on a great site full of vintage, aged, distressed images – right down my alley! I took inspiration from this and took a set of photos of ‘vintage’ items in my home and then altered this small board book and box to hold those images. Techniques I used include using crackle paint, distressing photos by sanding, adding distress inks, stamping and free hand doodling. I hope this inspires you all to go out and have a go, experiment; it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t go to plan – those are often the best pieces of work, and distressing hides any mistakes!

You can see more of Sallys work including some amazing felted dolls at http://onedragonsdream.blogspot.com/

Good luck everyone
