Hello all and its the second week in our Just for the fun of it challenges. I again will be unable to comment this week , so please forgive me.

So this weeks challenge is called Its a puzzler, and you can use puzzle peices, alter any form of puzzle, make your own puzzle or portray something that puzzles you Eg The meaning of Life LOL

I was planning to make one of these but i ran out of time this week. But wouldn’t they be great altered

So here are this weeks design team examples

Our guest designer this week is Jill from the stampman, and she has created some great examples. Thanks Jill for being our GD this week A few words from Jill

I’ve always enjoyed messy crafts, I remember my grandmother giving me a pile of

magazines along with flour and water paste as a child, my brother and I had great fun with it

all!  I dabbled with sewing, knitting and other crafts until I found my true favourite, rubber

stamping.  Having sold craft materials with my partner Ian trading as The Stamp Man for the last 17

years, I have been lucky enough to attend many trade shows and have tried new gadgets

and techniques as they hit the market.  I’ve met so many wonderful people, and I hope I

have shared as much knowledge about crafting as I have learnt from others.

I’ve discovered something about my crafting along the way, I’ve thought I’ve had times

where inspiration is in short supply, but I’ve really had a planning block, although it is nice to

have an idea of what you want to achieve before you start a project, I now have no fear of

getting started, I can then let the project develop, a little like I did with the UTEE frame.

The puzzler is, which way up should it be, it can be hung upside down, or whichever way preferred!

You can find The stamp man in our sponsors list in the side bar

There are no projects or papers this week

Hi everyone

Now last week I said that this week we would introduce our new team member. However due to sudden family illness our new team member has had to pull out. We are extreemly sorry to lose her and her wonderful work, and hope that her family member improves rapidly.  We have decided on a new team member who will be starting with us for challenge 13 (although we may renumber it LOL to 14)

When we started This Thursday we decided that we would have some weeks where there were no sponsors and no prizes, because it shouldn’t all be about winning prizes .  As we have constantly had sponsors from the beginning we have decided that for the next 2 weeks the challenges are going to be just about taking part for the fun of it. It also gives the design team some real playing time where we can start with a completly blank page.

The challenge this week is Blings the thing  so we want to see loads of shine, sparkle, glitter and glimmer with some added pow and pizzazz. Or as usual  you can interpret the title however it inspires you

So here are the design team examples for this week

Our guest designer this week is Rebecca Clews , we would like to thank her for her brilliant examples and hope that she enjoyed playing with this weeks theme. A few words from Becky

I started crafting with cross stitch about 8 years ago when a colleague at work introduced me to the craft. I bought a magazine with a cover kit and stitched it all with 6 strands! It looked awful and still makes me laugh thinking about it now! I started making cross stitch cards and gradually my cards were made primarily with paper crafting materials.
My favourite technique is rubber stamping and I am lucky enough to be on the Design Team of two rubber stamping companies – OneFourZero and Dinky Dots Crafts where I make cards to show on my blog, their websites and craft magazines. I also design for two challenge Blogs – My Time to Craft Challenge and The Penny Black Saturday Challenge. And, of course, it’s an honour to be a guest designer on ‘This Thursday’ this week!

You can see more of Beckys work at  Becky’s Happy Crafting Place

We have some free papers for you this week which you will find on our free downloads page

Tracey here. For the next two weeks I will be unable to comment on anyones entries, please don’t think that I can’t be bothered, I love looking through the entries each week. they are all so inspiring and your standard of work is amazing, Catch you all later

We have loads of new entrants this week and again the standard of entries is exceptional and has given us   headaches trying to narrow our favorites down to just 15.

So here are our favorite 15 (thanks for all your entries we really appreciate how great you all are ). We are considering having a favorite 20 in the future. We would like your oinions on whether you think 15 or 20 is better.
